Last night I had a flat tire on my '02 MY Z06. Of course it was raining, and I was in a cell phone dead zone! So, I decided to use my tire inflator kit, (which worked great) but now it seems I've made a very expensive mistake. I can't find an OEM replacement for just the sealant. The dealer wants $620 for a new kit, and I've seen offers on the Forum for $200. Does anybody know if there is a source for just the sealant???

The dealer can order just the sealant - it's around $50.
When I asked my dealer about just the sealant, they said they were not able to order just the bottle. Maybe they just want to stick me good?? I'll call around to other dealers. Thanks

Yea - they are trying to squeeze some money out of you... go to GM parts direct:
GM PART # 9593932
CATEGORY: Vehicle Care
PACK QTY: 1 CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $54.86
OUR PRICE: $31.27
DESCRIPTION: SEALER KI
...then after you do that call your dealer back and have them look up that part number, after they find it tell them they just lost that sale and perhaps your business.
It can be difficult for the parts department to find just the sealant, but it is there. I bought a new bottle of it because mine had expired (it has an expiration date) and I didn't want to chance it.
The parts guy had to look for a long time and at first could only find the whole kit replacement (big $$). If I remember correctly, he found the correct part number by cross referencing the SSR truck, which has the same kit we do.
