I "think" it helped
While waiting for a new air cover to arrive I decided to do the zip tie mod to see what would happen. It seems that it helps with throttle response quite a bit in the lower rpm range. When shifting at 6000rpm I can actually hear the tires spin, not just chirp. As soon as my new mount for the Gtech and modified air box arrive I will compair stock to zip tie to modified air box. Will post the numbers if anyone is interested.

You've got to be getting a lot more air coming through.
Mount for Gtech is broken. I ordered on on line yesterday. Will do the other runs as soon as it comes. I will not forget. All runs will be done at the same place one right after the other. Not scientific but, results will be interesting. (I hope)

AS PROMISED RESULTS ARE IN:
See image. I know that this is not scientific or as accurate as a true track run but, it sure gives an indication of performance. Both runs were done as follows. Same place, both launched at 2000 rpm, power shifting (foot never lifted off floor
), 88 degrees outside. Mods to car: c6 shifter, Borla quad Stinger cat back and "mean green" air filter. Only difference in runs was that "MAIN" run was with modified airbox (thanks Willfulone) and the other run was done with the stock air box. Hope this info is helpful to someone out there. Gee, now I wonder if 300 bills is worth it for the new Stinger? Oh yeah, running on stock runflats at 30psi. [IMG]
