Depending on the amount of people who are interested, I think I could successfully manufacture a superior product to the ones that are currently available for approximately the same cost.
However, I think it is important not to make just "another" poorly design taillight.
I already know they should be oval.
I think they should have yellow LED arrows, or yellow leds like the standard Euros.
Well a set of 4 LEDs now go for 329-349 so yours would have to fall somewhere around there. Unless you made something *really* special like a Euro LED setup....
I like the idea of the amber arrows, or hollow red ovals with amber center ovals as turn signals
I would like to see them in the less than $200 range. Thats $50 per lens and seems reasonable to me. I think that there would be a lot more buyers if they were priced this way
Not fond of the yellow idea. My complaint about the current LED taillights is that the LED's are too big, making the "oval" very "boxy". I'd like to see either red clear lenses (no diffusing) or clear lenses with white-to-red SMALL leds in a true oval pattern. Or here's a thought - how bout selling a DIY kit, only soldering required...
