I hesitate all the time to tell people about our Vette.. mostly because it's, "WOW, you have a Vette!!???" Right away you can see the dollar signs in their eyes... "We bought it used..."

Then I think to myself...yeah, it was only $26K which was really a steal at the time... so it was a great buy!! But like I said, I don't tell them all of that...

Alot of Ricers like to zoom past and rev their engines... Our plate gets as many comments from some drivers... "VRROOOM"

I prefer to ride with the wife along... otherwise I sometimes feel like an old man cruising for chicks!!! Lol @ me...

I cant speak as a Vette owner/driver , but ive Never had anyone make any rude remarks to me while driving my GTSACR ... ive had people ask stupid questions while im driving like " What Gear are you in " ... people have taken pictures as there driving by ... ive been blocked in a parking lot so some guy could take a picture ... and the odd times i do park it in a parking lot , usually people come up and take pictures. i cant see how anyone would make any rude comments to C5 vettes etc. especially if there driving some crappy car themselves or no car ... id just laugh and laugh and laugh ... and drive off still laughing at them ...

ever since i have got mine 2 mo ago.. I have had nothing but positive comments, and people who do remark stupid comments are only jealous you can tell how excited they get when you drive by ...
Youngsters always try to make it up to the red light w/ me then when they look over and see another young guy all of a sudden they dont fee like racing anymore haha.
Also If they ask me how I got it I usually say something like "my daddy bought it for my 18th b-day".

On the freeway today had this guy about three feet aways on my rear end...Lots of traffic in both lanes. Didn't matter if you passed me or not you would not being going any place....was going around 70 mph...motioned for him to back off...Didn't work...he just got closer....Finally we came to a stop light and he made a left off the freeway.....as he passed i gave him the three finger salute.... He swerved into my lane acting like he was trying to hit me...Once we stopped he preceeded to take off his seat belt and looked like he was going to get out of the car...so i rolled down my window and politely said "the way you drive you are going to end up causing an accident!" He then preceeded to spit out the window at me.....kinda funny seeing how he was in the left lane and only spit in his car....light changed and we went on our separate ways....Wife thought he just couldn't stand to have a vette in front of him! Sure are some crazies out there!

Ninety nine percent of the time i would have chilled and moved to the other lane...Problem was getting into the other lane cause of so much traffic...and with this guy so close to my baby i freaked...the guy seemed to be really crazed....lucky there were alot of cars around or probably would have gotten hurt...
