Default Door Locks - Need help

I am asking for assistance from the greatest forum in the world. The passenger side door locks are inoperative.

1. when the car is placed in gear the driver side doors lock but not the passenger side.

2. When the key FOB is pressed to lock, the driver side locks but not the passenger side.

3. When the button on the driver side is pressed to lock the car, the driver side locks but the passenger side does not.

Can someone please help. Thanks in advance.

My best guess would be the door lock solenoid has gone bad, or something came loose. Do you hear anything on the passenger side when the drivers side locks/unlocks? I don’t know if you can get to it easily if you take the door panel off but you might see if you can get to it. Maybe someone else knows. Good luck.

There is a passenger door control module in the door. It could be the cause, or a loose connection in the door. This is sort of a common problem, especially with the driver door control module. The relay inside is most likely stuck. No way to fix yourself, short of another module. Try Karshop (?) for a used one.

In all three of the C5's I have owned, I have experienced at least one DCM failure.

Get it fixed. I had a simular problem with a GM Safari van and the door lock switch started a fire.
