This is my '97 Vette... forbidden-dreaded-hated wagon wheels & all.... but I like them... the trade off being with ZO6 wheels being so affordable it's hard to resist a change, especially since I'm partial to slotted/drilled rotors and painted (red) brake covers... I love my wagons, but I don't see how the other mods mentioned will ever be "seen" with wagon wheel "wheels".... if you know what I mean ! Whadda ya think... should I dith them for the sake of the rotors and brake covers, or leave well enough alone ?
If you love them keep them. Do the other mods and if you're not happy with the overall look, then you can ditch them. Unless you're going for larger rotors, then you don't have a choice.
IMHO... I have a 98 as well... I HATE the Wagon Wheel look... UGLY!!! But that's MY opinion...
I have Ronals on it now, (I know, I need pics, BADLY!!) and love them. They get tons of comments... and I've only seen a few on here that have them... They are somewhat like a Z06 wheel as they have two spokes and there are 5 sets of them... Someone with a Blue vet has them from the forum that is a regular...
Oh yeah, I have cross drilled and slotted rotors along with painted Calipers... and yeah, the rear rotors are 14" making them fill up the 19's that are on the rear... 18 inch wheel and 13" rotaors in front...
Remember, this is only my opinion and what I LIKE... You should always do what YOU WANT... It's YOUR CAR!!

I would definitely have to say, go with new wheels. It will definitely show off your brake products. I have three suggestions. One, go with a CCW 505A 1 piece forged wheel which is $2,895.00 for the set. Two, go with a CCW SP500 1 Piece forged wheel which is also $2,895.00 for the set. Now my third suggestion is a 3-part suggestion. You could go with a chrome but stock 5 spoke wheel which is $1,095.00, you could go with a Z06 wheel for $995.00 or you could pay $1,295.00 for the hottest Z06 wheel on the market right now which is the Z06 chrome motorsport wheel. Now if you really wanted to break out and make it one of a kind, you could put the C6 wheels on your car and really make it stand out. These wheels cost $1,195.00 and will put the look of the new C6 into your C5
