Default Windshield wet

Recently, when I stand on the accelerator, I get just a little bit of windshield washer fluid running up my windshield. Just a drop or so, but it happens everytime.

I've had that occur at track days, but not in normal driving. I always thought it just occurred when you drove fast enough that the underhood pressure forced a bit of fluid out.

I call them tears of exhilaration, because your Vette is happy it is being driven the way it was intended to be

The fix is part number 22102237, it should be covered under the bumper to bumper warrantee.

Think there's a service bulletin out about installing a check valve inline for that complaint.

Been there done that. I installed the check valve with the part number listed above. The problem is that the hose coming from the windshield washer fliud motor is a hardened plastic line. It is supposed to slip over one of the male ends on the check valve. Well this doesn't work. The male end of the check valve is to big to fit into the hardened plastic hose. No matter how much stretching you try will get the hose big enough to fit over the check valve end. Luckily I had some rubber vacuum tubing laying around. I cut it to the same length as the hardened hose and used in place of the hardened plastic hose. This resulted in having to remove the windshield washer solvent tank to get to the motor, but was very easy. Once everything was completed I have to more tears of exhileration.

The down side to this fix is that my passenger side washer sprayer no longer works. I don't think that their is enough pressure to push it through to the other side. Oh well, who cares about the passenger windshield right?

I have noticed some blue stuff under the wipers on mine too - think I'll just siphon the tank. Does the blue water taste like blueberries?

Same thing happened to me just the other day for the first time. I'll ask the dealer if he can just give me the check valve if it persists. I have an 04 if that matters?

is it tears? Or is the Vette excited? As in premature fluid dispersion?

The check valve is one solution, but you can also just not fill the reservior up so full.
