Thank goodness for leeman. I was starting to think I was the only freak who took his Vette to a Jiffy Lube.

Actually, I just had to change mine for the first time...and it was a "Q-Lube". Didnt have any problems, cost me about 80 bucks for the extra good oil.

60 to 80 dollars for an oil change is absolutely ridiculous. I do it myself for 25 bucks and half an hour.

I do. And when the weather gets cold and its too difficult to work on it, I have 2 really good private shops that I could use. Never, NEVER at a dealer.

As with most things I do it myself. I've found that when I let the "professionals" do it, what ever it is, I either find fault with it, find that it hasn't been done correctly, or discover the work simply hasn't been done.

I change to oil in my cars myself. That way I know how much of what kind of oil is going in my cars.
