Yes ... it NEEDS to be lowered! But then don't forget to get a 4 wheel alignment after it settles, so your tires don't wear funny.

Only takes about 20 minutes on stock bolts.

Yes you need to lower it. It looks like a four wheel drive.

It's easy. I did it with a jack, two jackstands, and two wrenches in a couple of hours. Follow the guides posted here and you can't go wrong.

I'd say lower it too, just know what you're wanting first.

I know quite a few that do nothing but scrape the ground all the time and don't seem to enjoy it as much.

Lower it. I had it done one sunny afternoon before my husband knew what was happening. If you have run-flat tires, you might need an alignment. If you have real tires, then your really probably OK because in the lowering, you will get a very small increase in negative camber. Thats good for cornering!!! , but runflats don't like it due to the extremely stiff sidewalls. Sadly, runflats need to fit square upright on the road so they can pretend to have traction.

Yes it needs to be lowered. It's a simple job, simple enough you really could do it without the B/F

How?

More how?

I'm with DORK! J/K bro!!!! Dave... You know you're my boy!!!

VG, it really only takes about 15-20 mintues to lower it with (I believe) a 10mm....cant exactly remember. It takes longer to prep and jack up the car than it does to lower it. Compare for yourself....

First you have to insert the lifting pucks. If you dont have these GET 'EM.. $30.00-ish from Elite Engineering.com Then you have to jack up the car from the front and put it on jack stands. Then you have to take the two front tires off for easier access. Then you have to take pressure off the leaf springs in order to back the bolt out!

The actual lowering consists of unscrewing the bolt almost completely out and that's it. Takes about 3-4 minutes per bolt to do the actual lowering. Pretty huh!

Oh....one more thing... I can't keep up with all your avatar changes. I coulda swore I saw three different avatars in a matter of minutes

If lowering will affect the drivability, then I would not lower it. It looks good to me from where I’m sitting.

I was very apprehensive about lowering mine, concerned about ground clearance and a harsher ride (I have a ZO6). I ended up having it moderately lowered (about 1-1/2 in.), mainly to close in the wheel gap. I can tell you that after six months I haven't had any more clearance problems than before (just need to watch the front on speed bumps and driveways). Additionally, it has a more planted feel when cornering and absolutely looks better than before. I say do it, conservative amount at first, then go from there.

Good advice. I am still on the fence about this one. May do a little at a time.

I can't get the front of mine to lower. I have soaked them everything I have and they just won't budge. Good luck, but I would say lower it
