Have a friend who is going to sell his vette
I told him I'd help him find the best deal, so Im looking for input on how much he should ask.
This car is the ultimate garage queen.
2000 Silver Vert, with black top and black interior. Chrome 5 spoke wheels, and is totally stock. ONLY 5,300 miles!!! Seen a lot of covered garage time. I dont even think he has washed it with water, just nice day driving and then home to dust off and a diaper wipe down. The same thing goes for his two Harley Customs, and they are why he is selling, seems he enjoys the bikes more when he has the time! Car is in Southern California.
So can anyone give him an idea of what a fair price would be for such a clean car?
Id check
The C5 for sale section for comparables
I'd check www.kbb.com fill in the options and mileage www.edmunds.com www.nada.com www.autotrader.com to look for comparables
I would also post in the C5's for sale sectin the options mods if any and mileage and ask forum members for input.
It's a same to sell will take a hit on the year even with very low miles. The best I can tell you is around $38,000 I might ask more and try to find that perfect buyer. If he needs a quick sale $35,000.
Yeah, we were thinking $36k-$38k, but I just wanted some clarification that that was in the right range. He is in no hurry to sell it, so I think he can take his time and find someone that is looking for such a car.

I don't agree. This is a little high. The low mileage will help for a quicker sale but won't help the price, substantually. I know of a 1999 Vert w/ 7000 miles in a dealers showrrom. It is absolutely spotless. Not a single tiny stone chip. 6 speed. $5000 of performance upgrades including exhaust, intake and Mallet engine improvements. The dealer has it for $32995 and they've had it for 2 months. IMHO I think the lower $30s is where your friends car should be priced unless they are selling for a lot more money on the left coast.

Good feed back, thanks. Things can tend to be a little more $$$ out here especially with some things like cars. Thats why I went to Texas to get my '04 coupe

36-38 is way too high for a 2000 regardless of the low mileage. While it sounds like a grerat car, the lower to maybe mid 30's seems more appropriate.

I would agree with a low 30's price tag. Regardless of the mileage, it is a 2000 model year car. I know things are higher in CA than here, so I could be a bit off on the price.
