Use emblem adhesive. Both of mine broke and I could not get my hand to the back of the light to put the nuts on, so I just used 3M emblem adhesive. It has worked fine and been like that for almost a year.
Fairly cheap to replace. I see them on eBay all the time. A bit ackward to replace if its the passenger side, you got to go up and under the car to get around the antenna. Not tough though.

The parts are cheap. You can partially remove the inner fender for easy access. I've ground 75% of the head down on a 1/4-20 1/2 lg. bolt and epoxied it to the light when I was in a hurry.
I had some similar breakage on the rear brake lamps on my daily driver. I removed the parts, and found the breaks were clean and with cyanoacrylate (aka crazy glue) and accelerator was able to reattached the broken standoffs. The repair has held for several years now.
