Default Magnesium Wheels

I have a torch red 2000 coupe with Magnesium wheels. They are in very good condition. Only in rain twice and one small nick that I touched up over the winter a couple years ago and it looks fine. I have been toying with the idea of buying stainles wheels for some time. Now a couple friends said they would like the magnesium wheels. What do I want for them? Does anyone have a guess as to what I should ask??
Thanks.

Typically, they go for around $800 a set.

The magnesium wheels have a paint code. I found the paint code at a Chevy dealer and the local auto paint shop matched it perfectly. Careful multiple coats, applied with a small brush made the chips almost disappear. There are aftermarket suppliers that handle the touch-up paint too.

W/ out seeing your mags in person it's hard to compare, but I was able to get $1,000 shipped for mine a couple of months back... They came off an '01 w/ 12K miles and were near perfect... If yours are also in great shape I would start out asking around $1,000 and take it from there. Original GM mags are very light weight and highly desireable, they were a very expensive option so I wouldn't let them go cheap. Be patient and they will sell. Good luck

I agree - ask about $1K and see what happens. You can always change the price if needed.

There are several sets on ebay, most of the buy it now's I have seen were around 800. Although a real nice looking set just closed out with a no reserve auction for around 450.
