It's getting to that time when the pads need replace'n and I'm looking for suggestions on different pads or stock replacement. It's not a track car just a simple plain jane 02 c-5 but I would like a cleaner wearing pad and of course a quaility pad, money is no object,.... well you know what I mean i'm not looking to be cheap so throw em out there. Thanks in advance. Joe (free C-5)
If you don't do any hard driving I would go with the GM ceramic pads. Fred Beans has them for a reasonable price. They do fade over consecutive hard stops though.
A lot of guys on the forum go with the stock C5 pads. The Z06 pads will stop better but more dusting.
I went with the Hawk HPS pads this spring with sport rotors, dimpled/slotted. A bit better performance than stock pads and reasonable dusting. The Hawk HP+ pads are incredible performers but the dusting is severe.

Hope this helps.
You're gonna sacrifice looks a bit, for performance. But worth it IMHO.

The Fred Beans price on ceramic's is a really good deal. They do dust less, but are not consided the highest performing. I've found the carbon metallic's, such as the Hawk's or PFC's are pretty awesome for sprited street driving, with only moderate dusting. I'm using PFC's on several cars including my C-5 Vette. The only down fall I notice on my daily driver with smallish rotor surface, is high brake pedal pressure with cold brakes. But the fade free braking in high speed panic stops, has saved me more than once.
