I realize this probably the AC drain over flowing. How do I get to it. Do I have to remove the glove box ? I need a little direction on how to cure this problem. Any help is appreciated.
Mine's doing the same...from what it looks like, it appears to be coming from just above the top of the door hinge... I need to find some time to fix it....Guess I'm going to have to remove the glove box to verify if it really is coming from the top door hinge... anyone else like to add something to this....
CF Member Bill Curlee has helped a number of people with this issue. Here are a few of his later posts showing where the A/C Drain is located. If you have further question you might PM him. Good luck.
Give us a call at 800-234-5284 and we will try to help you. GM released a water leak bulletin about 2 years ago that is 20 some pages long so way to big to copy here. They have it broken down by where the car is getting wet to what the most common cause is and the fix for it. We will be happy to help you figure it out if we can.

I also had the A/C condensate problem and cleared the evaporator drain pipe. Water can also get into the the blower motor lower bearing, freezing motor operation. Check for rust here. You may be able to clean & lube the lower bearing if this happens, or maybee replace the entire motor for about $100.
I took a two foot piece of all thread rod and pushed around the rubber drain elbow thats on the firewall behind the right cylinder head and it cleared itself. While I was at it I took the a/c blower out and vacuumed out a lot of oak leaves from the evaporator which was probably what plugged it to start with.
Thanks for the info. I will jump on her tonight when she gets in.... The car that is. The car is the wife's daily driver so I just get to wash and repair it. Of course there is always a nice test drive after each event.
Well I am still cussing and it looks like to actually remove this hose a lot of stuff has to come out of the inside. No way I can get to it from underneath. I can run long tools into the drain but no water comes out at all. I am going to poke at it some more and then blow air into it.
I removed the BCM and it does not appear to have been getting wet so far.
I also dropped the Fan motor and the brushes and armature look fine also.
Other ideas ? I will put it back together tonight and see what happens.
Still getting wet. Looks like when it rains is when it gets the most wet. I checked the udders under the hood and they are clear. The AC drain is dripping water and this is the first thing I checked.
What else ? Where does the water in the rear hatch channels go ?
Passenger seat and carpet will come out this weekend so I can at least tell which direction it is coming from.
For Bob at Fichtner Chev- a lot of us are having these problems-
I too have cleared all of the drains. It would be a real service if you
could somehow find a way to post this waterleak bulletin for all of us.
This is the kind of thing that should be in the tech tips area- saving all
of us time and everyone aggravation with the constantly repeated threads. Is the document on your computer? I would be willing to offer
any help that I am able- and I'll bet other more knowledgeable people
here would help as well. Thanks Gene
I think i found out where my is leaking from when it rains. I am not too sure how to explain it but its part of the weather stripping sorda of. Its the little black piece in front of the passender window. THere is a gap right there and it seems to be leaking through there and running down in the panel and under the carpet. Well i am not sure this is a problem in all vettes but i know it is in mine. Well hope this helps.

If you come up with a fix please send me a PM... I need to do something with mine and I don't want to fix it with silicone...Thanks
Same problem here....I pulled the AC drain out and cut the tip "it wasn't backed up".
However, for the last few days with thanks to our last Tropical Storm it's been rainin and my passenger carpet is soaked!!!
It seems to be comming from underneath the fuse box/ECM area. Like it's running down the firewall under my carpet.
AARRghhh!!!!
I have had the passenger seat and carpet out for a couple of weeks now. Wife says when she opens the fresh air vents water runs down from the side of the center console. I have not had time to look at it real close but will do so this weekend. Seems that when it rains it is worse. I have checked all the teats twice. Guess next step is to remove the plastic peice by the windshield and see what it looks like under it.
