Default How high to install Dynatechs from below?

Instructions with my Dynatech Supermax headers says car should be 36" high to install drivers side from below. Looking for feedback on height used and problems with installing from above, by disconnecting steering shaft. Thanks!

With my similar sized headers from above, it was just about a foot and half or so jackedup below. Mostly, so I could fit under and wiggle it a little bit. You also need to take the filter off too in addition to the steering shaft, and she goes right in.

I had 21" from the bottom of the tire to the concrete floor. That's on Kwik-lift ramps. I had Plenty of room. I never removed a filter though, but, on the Passenger side watch the air conditioning line. And, I did remove the valve covers and moved the starter some.

Just installed a set on mine this weekend. Did not remove the starter or valve covers, just the coil pack on the passenger side. Used a lift so no clearance issues. Sure you can do it on tall jack stands. Just a little more time and effort. Drivers side from the bottom and passenger side from the top. Good Luck.

I installed mine from the top......

I disconnected the steering shaft...(be careful not to turn the steering wheel!!)

I also disconnected my fuel lines that run to the rail and removed the valve cover on the drivers side..........

I assume you tried the drivers side install without removing the valve cover and coil pack first. Did installing from the top save much time?

Thanks for all the replies, this will help me a lot.
