02 Z06...
Man,i looked at a nice 02 Z06 today,and some c6's.The z was exceptional!3800 miles!ECS supercharged,intercooled.It's a damn shame the dealer wants 41 grand for it.I get so tired of the dealers scalping us corvette buyers for every cent they can get!They want top dollar for theirs,and give nothing for trade!!!

Ok, well, if it was stock, you are talking about $35k, so that means they are asking $6k for the SC. Sounds reasonable to me, without knowing the details on the SC, I bet you'd have to spend about $10k for a nice setup if you were adding it on.

Well,the s/c is a procharger twin intercooled setup.I did talk to Chris(ecs) to see if he remembered it.He said it is the old procharger system.well,it's putting out 535 h.p.!guages for boost and fuel.It is the first z i am considering,other than the c6 z(i don't have 70 grand!)i really like taking off the top,but hey,535 PONIES!! 
Kelley pulls it at 37 grand stock.the papers in the car said the system itself cost 7500 plus.

That's not a bad price for a supercharged Z06. And if it has any other upgrades, could be well worth the money.

, it's well worth checking out further. Find out who did the S/C intstall and what other mods have been done. Some dealers don't have an idea what they have, I bought my C4 Z07 used and the dealer had no inclination, to them it was just another used vette.

ecs did the install in 02.i was pleased when i saw the paperwork with their name on it.so,you guys feel that this is a good price.well,i'm a little surprised but happy,too!i thought it would be to high,but then again,i never looked into a s/c z06!thanks for all the help,guys.p.s.Did the 02's have the oil consumption issues and the blinker issues corrected,btw??Lastly,is this car a better buy than an 03 coupe,7000 miles,eb/red interior(rare combo)w/z51,and 40 grand???

If you are going to trade in your '01, I would vote against it. I would think you would be money ahead by sending your current car to ECS for a similar 500+ hp treatment. Just my $.02.
