Default My Trip

Well,

I am in Sout Carolina and the trip was a bunch of fun.

If you didn't know, I drove the vette from Seattle , WA (met REDRACER, great guy and awesome help!) and ended here in Hemingway, SC (Will be driving down to Florida (meeting JAXGATOR for a cruise).

Well, I loved the highways in IDAHO (the mountain drive was fun).

Saw snow in Montana (August! and I saw snow).

Hit Strugis just as they were wrapping up BIKE WEEK. WOW! what a bunch of bikes and it was cold (60 degrees and rainy).

Saw one of the most beautiful sun rises ever in South Dakota.

Drove over some of the worse roads in America in Mossouri during a really really bad rain storm.

Saw the gate to the West in ST Louis, the great arch and it was just at dawn and it was gorgeous.

I spent the entire day in BOWLING GREEN and toured the plant and the MUSEUM! They had a half dozen new ZO6 there and trust me the car is beautiful! THe plant tour was awesome and that is the job I want when I retire...I want to be the tour guide, I will work for minimum wage!

I-40 through the mountains of Eastern Tennessee was so much fun in the vette! Trust me, I know now that there are a lot of cars that just can't take that highway the way a C5 can, because I was just cruising and the others just seem to get smaller in the rearview mirror with a face like this...

I will post pics soon.

Micah

sounds like you had a variety of experiences during your trip and a fun trip it was. Try taking those vacations in some of those other sports cars, like a viper.

Glad you made the trip OK. And I will second the comment about the worst roads in the nation in Missouri - but they are working on it. Sounds like overall you had a really great time.

The sky around the Arch was really awesome last night; light blue skies and orange clouds. There are great sights all over the USA, and they seem to be more precious viewed over the hood and through the windows of a Corvette.

Thanks for sharing your travel log.

Save the wave and keep on driving.
