low self esteem? maybe but when I see another vette and they wave it really makes my day. and I'm not sure if that cool or sad for me? went to lunch and seen a ragged c3 and got the wave
No matter what year or shape, we are all in the brother/sister hood of the fiberglass gods. I have a black '78 that I show, it is fast and loud too. I get waves from the Harley riders too. It might help that I am 6'-2", 260, shaved head, fu-monchu moustache, wear a dew rag (burnt the top a few times) biker glasses to keep the wind out of the corner of my eyes!

I got a middle finger from someone yesterday... guess they must like FORD. No, I didn't cut them off or anything to spur this.
I was down in the Florida Keys last week and there were several Vette's that did not waive. I'm not sure what the deal was. Here in Tampa, everybody does a pretty good job.

Its the act of kindness that makes you feel good. When you reach out to others by waving it makes you feel good, makes them feel good and it makes witnesses to your act of kindness feel left out. Well you cannot please everyone. So some of you out there who do not wave and feel miserable about it. Now you know why you are unhappy.
I don't feel bad, just a little foolish. It happened today, I waved at couple driving a black C6 converible. Did not even get a smile. I figured the guy is ignorant about the wave. (of course he could be a jackass)

Black Vert, they acted like they just got it. No wave.

It doesn't get worse than that. It sounds like they can use some wave training courses. It sounds like they are on a crusade to discourage people from waving. I guess they figure if they give out the finger enough they will snuff out waving altogether. You know they should give thses people a personality test before they sell them a Vette. If they are found to be unpleasent people then they cannot have the car.
I waved at a guy on a Harley just because he had a Corvette leather jacket on. He was surprised at first then he realized he had it on and laughed as he waved back. Support the wave!
