I was cruising down the road with my wife last weekend and the odometer clicked over 130,000 miles! Autocross, driver education events, cruising around town or down the interstate, she just keeps rolling along!
Did an oil analysis on my last oil change when the oil life monitor started nagging me at 10% left (8000 miles), and the analysis showed that I could go another 1-2K miles before the oil really needed it. The only maintenance item I've really had to deal with was the not-so-rare broken exhaust flange weld from the I-pipe to the muffler section.
Replaced the shocks and spark plugs at 100K (neither really needed it), and I change the tranny, diff, and brake fluids out annually, due to the racing I do.
Wait. Surely you have a message for us about how important it is to change your oil every 1500 and your filter at every 750 miles in order to provide the cheap insurance necessary for your engine to last so long? To get that kind of mileage, surely you must fill your tank with high octane Racing Fuel? You must at least change your hood seal every other week, right? Please don't say you just treat your Corvette like a normal car, surely not?
