I am trying to connect my ipod to operate through the factory radio without having to purchase the Cor-Har. Do you know of anywhere that has the schematics for the GM Cor-Har harness so I will be able to wire the GM B adapter to the plugs found in the passenger footwell. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Someone here has the schematics for the harness - all I remember is that one connector has the power and ground - and the other has the L/R audio (their grounds) and the serial data line as well.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that... I have the interface and gmb harness, but my car wasn't equipped w/ the cd changer so I do not have the cor-har harness. I'm trying to avoid having to spend the additional $80 or there abouts to get one if i dont have to. Thanks again for the help though.

I was going to do the same thing with my hard-drive based MP3 player (not buy the COR harness). But I couldn't find a good place for it up front, so I mounted it exactly where the factory changer was to go - and ended up buying the harness anyways
yeah interesting thread. I don't have a stock deck anymore. But I would like to see the schematics for the interface.
the changer acts as the interface if you have one and just switching the audio signal... but without it.. .hmmm...
good luck. The factory head unit disables the aux input unless it sees serial data from the CD changer (yes, I said "serial data"). The PIE GM AUX10 has a few of the chips that are in the CD changer, and actually sends the head unit some valid serial data - just enough to fool the head unit into thinking a real live CD changer is indeed connected. And this enables the AUX inputs on the radio
The one made specifically for the IPOD will decipher the serial commands from the head unit for STOP, SKIP, PAUSE... and control the basic functions of the IPOD.
Trust me on this one... just buy the interface and save yourself some stress.
