To start things off my cousin tracked in some bubble gum all over my carpet, AND floormat. Is there any way to remove the gum from my carpet safely? Parked the vette to go see a movie (skeleton key) , and examined it when I came out closely. Not a single mark on her thankgod and there wasn't even anyone parked near me (a first for me). Then while standing there talking to my friends a beat up ford escourt pulls up next to me with some crackhead guys and opens his door into my mirror right infront of me! I'm like wtf are you doing man, and he didn't say anything so my girlfriend flipped out on him. He just goes oh sorry and shut his door, I believe he was actually rolling one if ya know what I mean! Unbelieveable people I tell you, I did get his license plate and talked to an officer but he said I'd have to sue him to get the chip fixed. Stuff like this makes me not want to even take the vette out for any reason, everywhere I go I have to worry about something happening to it! My car which used to be almost perfect, is now starting to show some wear ugh. Guess I'm just going to have to deal with it, hope you guys had a better night than I did!
Try carrying an ice pick in your car. When someone bangs your door, you can insert the ice pick in one of his side walls. I would never do this, it's something I heard about from one of my friends.
Sorry about your ding. About the gum, try wd-40 that might brake it loose.
It is impossible to drive a car frequently and not have things happen once in a great while. I like to let mine show a little wear and trade again. Right now I am on my 2nd C5 and my 4th Corvette. I may be getting a c6 within the next year.
um, if you can the alternate dd thing is a good idea. (we do the honda accord gig). by & large, to state what is painfully obvious, people have no regard for your car in a parking lot. either fat @ss folks or punks open their car doors without a care in the world. i daresay most of us driving a vette take the precautionary measure of parking in remote areas, uphill away from most traffic. though by no means fool-proof, it does keep us out of harms way sometime. bub
