My just purchased '98 vert with under 20k miles has a squeaking / creaking in the suspension. I often notice it when going slow over speed bumps. It seems to be front as well as rear. Anyone ever experience this? Thanks!
never owned a sports car before so maybe it's just a sports car thing?
does your ride seem kind of rough too? i switch from 'sport' to 'tour' and i didn't really notice any difference on my vette. it also runs on stock run flats so that may contribute to the rough ride.
I have variable suspension as well and do not notice a difference between the settings. And I also have runflats, which will be replaced with non-runcraps when the time comes. Those tires make me feel like a Flinstone riding around on granite tires! Brutal ride in my opinion. And I don't think that it is a 'sports car thing'. These cars should not be squeaking like that . . .
When some of my cars had squeeky suspension peices in the past, I sprayed Lithium grease on that part. Usually takes away the noises in 15 min or a day max.
I had a C5 that did that after I put aftermarket exhaust on it. It started when the exhaust was removed. I think they just put some oil or grease on the joints or whatever to get it to quit. I have heard of others doing this too. Basically all you need to do is re-lube the suspension parts that move. I didnt do this but had it done and it works.
Mine squeeks also , guess I'll just have my guy @ the dealer lube? next time I have a reason to go there. This tech is top notch and does NO guesswork, man does that make things comfortable for me.
....Guy's, the likely culpret could be the sway bar rubber bushings. They can be removed and cleaned, lubed and reinstalled fairly easily. Give that a try first.......

Thanks to all for your input. I think I'll go the route of mrm1149 and have it looked at the next time I need service.
Wile you can't "relube" the front end(the tie rods and ball joints are sealed from the factory), exposed rubber bushings can get dry. Check around the area of the sway bar bushings, sway bar links, and the leaf spring bushings (where they join at the metal supension area). Spray some silicon or lithium grease (silicon is waterproof and stays on longer), drive and give it time to "soak in"-good luck

A bit of brake fluid will do marvels for dry, squeaky rubber bushings. The brake fluid will seep into the space between the bushing and the bar and once it does, the noise is gone.
Don't use engine oil etc., it will attack the rubber.
Took the rear bolts off the swaybar, then wrapped 5 or 6 layers of Teflon tape around them, slid back in place and bolted back on. Stopped the rear baby carriage squeaking quickly
