Default Synthetic or Dino?
1998 C5 with 58k, I just bought it and it has low oil so I am going to GM today to get an oil change. I have no idea what kind of oil it is running, but from reading the owners manual it looks like all of these were synthetic from the start, true or no?

So if for some reason my vette has dino, should I switch it over to synthetic? Any tips?

Yep, use synthetic ALWAYS. It is called for. Chevy didn't want to put in an oil cooler, oil gets too hot for conventional oil.

Mobil 1 no question. Its on the oil filler cap!

The GM spec calls for a 5W30 synthetic. Most of us use Mobil 1
6.5 to 7 qts
