I have a pretty rich tune on my car and I am always driving my car pretty hard. Simply put, my Avg MPG is never over 14, usually about 13.?? mpg on each and every tank.
Well with gas prices going up I thought what the heck lets baby this car for one tank of gas to see what happens.
I'm about a little less then a half of a tank and my average is 23 MPG!!!!!
I cannot believe what a difference 6th gear makes. Sure does make for a boring ride home though. :o
I have bolt ons and put around 395 rwhp due to a really good tune by Lou @ LG and I'm still getting 23 mpg!!!! Gotta love these cars man!

Hiway cruising "slightly" above the speed limit and mid 20 MPG. I get better milage than some of my buddies at work who drive econo boxes.Ya just gotta love these cars!

I am stock except for a Vararam and some very minor PCM tweaks done in my garage. I get low 30s on the highway, low to mid 20s in the city. 12.0s @ 117-118 on street SCF1s with a 1.9x 60'.
That's something that amazed me when I bought my car. The gas milage is unbeliveable. I still get people asking if I regret buying it with the way gas prices are going. They never believe them that I'm averaging 22 mpg with some highway/mostly city driving. That's 22 MPG without resetting it in about 5,000 miles.
When I bought my Z I had to go to Michigan to get it (about 340 miles from my home) We took my girlfriends 02 VW Jetta with the 1.8 Turbo and doing about 85 the whole way got about 28 MPG on the way home I actually got better mileage than the Jetta and my car has double the horsepower
Around town is a different story though, I average about 16-17 and the Jetta still gets mid 20's
