Default Passanger Window Help

My passanger side window just quit working. I can hear it click one time inside the door when you push either switch. The one on the drivers door or the one on the passangers door. Is this the motor or is there a relay inside thats bad?

this has happened to quite a few of us. back in july this topic was discussed and someone actually put in the directions and pics on how to fix the problem yourself. he even mentioned that the dealer would charge $500 to replace the motor. I called the local Chevy and my favorite Corvette dealership and they both wanted $500! the directions basically said that the relay was bad and that the wires needed to be extended. i have not been able to find it again, so that i can fix my 00 pewter coupe.

i know this does not help a lot, but the answer is in here somewhere. if i find i'll let you know.

Had to replace both of mine (only 25K miles on the car). The motor and regulator are integrated so you will have to buy the assembly. About $300 at the dealer just for the part, but if you watch ebay you can pick up new ones for $90-125 and have a mechanic install for about $50-75. I believe this is the only real fix for your problem and is very common with our C5s.

had the same problem with my 03 coupe. it was covered under warranty. while at the service dept. i saw the vehicle history and it was replaced once before at about 3,000 miles - i bought the car with 7,000 miles and had it in for service for the window at 7,300.

looks like you get about 3k - 4k miles on the window regulator. seems to be a chronic problem - but only with the passenger window - hmmm

Hmmm, maybe I'll see if I can go aftermarket and design something... use a brushless motor and have the window fly up so fast it'll be like the doors on star trek... ok bad idea. Well, add my name to the list of passenger side sufferers, and let me know if you find that thread.
