Default Rusty rotors

What's with the rotors on my C5, it rains and they turn yellow? Why don't my other cars do that?

Because on most other cars the rotors aren't that big and visible... EVERY stock rotor (98%)will rust when exposed to water because they are cast iron. If you don't like the look, you can buy titanium or carbon fiber rotors for a few thousand bucks! For me, I'll just live with the fact that my car always goes away dry...

It's nothing to worry about. Happens every time I wash my car. By the time I back out of the driveway and apply the brakes, the rust is gone.

Without stealing the thread, are the zinc coated rotors worth the extra $40.00? Will they not show the rust as bad?

I've got the zinc coated rotors and really don't have the rust problem!

Mine are zinc coated, but they rust in the holes. It disappears after a few miles. No worries...
