I had my ac delco s/d rotors sitting in the garage for awhile I decided it was time. Got all my stuff together and found out I just could not get the car up high enough to do the job. Called around and had them installed in an hour for a c note. Then I took the car to the wash, I got a shot of 2 c5s and a c6 getting finished. Right after I took the pic a black c4 was pulled out, must have been take your vette to the wash day. Got home and started the caliper paint project. I am using the brush on stuff and it is going ok. It is 103 here so I think I will do the other side tomorrow. Sure helps the paint dry fast
1 thing I realize is I do not enjoy working on cars as much as I used too. Maybe it is the heat here in Vegas or maybe I just spent too much time working on cars as a kid. I do like it when it is finished. Another thing when I was in Oregon I had my Uncle's garage at my disposal (lift, air tools) and a real good friend who always helped. We did more motors and tranny's and clutch jobs than I care to remember.
Time to go sand off the letters, hopefully my wife wont notice I used her emory board
wifes emory board worked great. I will do the other side tomorrow when it is cooler. I painted one of the hats black but decided I did not like it, so I sprayed the others with a clear (got this idea from a forum member, I got discoloration from just the car wash) unforunately I got some overspray on the rotors which has turn to mush. Hopefully it will burn off from use. It does look cool though, now it's time
