I just traded my 93 C4 for a 2001 C5 - the difference is incredible and I absolutley love having all real gauges again.
I notice that there are three hole behind each door pull on the inside of each door and it looks like something was supposed to be there that isn't.
Also, the leather or vinyl in the area that is like an armrest is loosy and wrinkled looking. Are these door panels ridiculously expensive to fix/replace.
Don't head to the dealer to fix your door panels. No one that I know of has figured out a way to fix the pulling that happens to a high percentage of the door panels out there, but Vette Essentials does make an arm rest cover that might reduce what you are seeing. You can post in the For Sale section for replacement panels, or contact Karshop (Gene) for a good set of used panels. From the dealer they are expensive, but finding them elsewhere shouldn't put you back much more than a couple hundred for each panel in perfect shape.
