Default Seat Foam Replacement

I guess my butt has finally compressed the foam in the drivers seat to the point that I need to replace it. :o Who has the best price on the replacement foam and what material can I use under the foam to avoid the wires cutting into the new foam?

Not sure about the foam seats, but for the wire cutting into the foam, I may be able to help. I just put a pad under both of my seats. What I used was a piece of pad that you can get from Walmart for putting under a tread mill. I had to cut it into two small strips and work it between the wire and the foam. Worked great.

I bought the lower seat foam from Gene at Fred Beans....a Forum vendor...35 dollars a side.

I also used the old seat foam, cut off the skirt, and inserted the old foam top less the side skirts, inside the new foam.. the seat foam is now more dense than just the new foam.. once the shin is back on you can not tell there is double foam..but your butt will. Ken at Vette essentials is also another source of foam.

I replaced the seat skins on my 2000 coupe a few months back so I went with new seat foam as well. Got the set from Ken @ www.vetteessentials.com. Check out the site and click on "OEM replacements" to bring up the seat foam.

Sport seat foam.

I've seen them use burlap between the foam and wire on some TV show...

Default Use burlap material

I used burlap material to help prevent the wires from cutting into the foam on my seat in my truck and that was 3 years ago and its held up very well.
