Default I am finally back

Well it's been a long time coming...

I am like a little kid in a candy shop. I finally got myself another vette. Its my first C5 (00 White Coupe M6) and I love it. I haven't been this happy in a while. This isn't my first I have had a 88 with a greenwood package installed, a 93 Ruby coupe, and a 96 LT4 CE. Those were all nice cars but I love the C5. I am finally here I have been waiting so long to say this.

Now onto my first question which I am sure I will get flamed for... Who makes the best flowing intake? I heard vararam is good but are like the blackwings or any other close at all? Last question what does every one think of a LoudMouth on a C5. I have had one on my 00 NBM Camaro SS and loved it, is the C5 any different? Last part what does every one think of the Borla XR1 system and the B&B bullits?

i'll defer to others on your questions; just wanted to do a shoutout congrats on the move to a c5. we had a torch red c4 coupe a few years ago that we bought @ carlisle. current ride is a sebring silver c5 coupe. it's a better car in every way than the c4. enjoy the ride! bub

Congrats on the C5

As far as the intake; BW, K&N Dual Cone, Stinger, Modified stock airbox lid seem to be the most popular and each works fine on a stock C5.

Congrats on the C5! As far as the intake goes you'll get as many opinions as you get answers, I have a twin cone K&N!

The primary advantage vararam has is it's design permits ambient air from outside of the hood. There are several other intakes that draw air in through a modified radiator shroud. Some just use under hood air design but improve the flow over the stock air box.

Congrats on your C5 purchase! Must feel good to be back in the saddle!

Take a look at the Halltech Stinger intake. It is well engineered and a good value because for the same price you pay for some filters alone, you get an airbridge and a filter with Halltech. Their filter is the largest available for a Vette and the airbridge is a huge improvement over the stock unit.

Good luck...

Congrats on the C5. As far as the intake goes, I have a Blackwing and like it a lot. That being said, there are others out there that are very good also. The Vararam is excellent and the Halltech Stinger is a good product also. Just depends on your preference IMO.

Good for you! Welcome back.

I just arrived back in the 'vette family last night after picking up my Z06. That was the best three hour trip I've taken in a while!
