Default It's official...

Just returned home in an '02 Z06, QS MR, 8446 miles(now 93xx from driving it home about 900 miles.)
Well, all I can say is that this is really an unbelievable car to drive.
It's actually the first time I've been behind the wheel of a c5 vette.
Even bone stock, it is impressively quick.
Brings back memories of good low end torque, something I really missed.
I can't wait to stick this thing on a road course, it should be an absolute blast!
What handling!!
Definitely beyond my capabilities.
Now I know what all you vette folks have known for a long time, and I'm glad to join the group.
My only complaint is shifter placement, a bit too close to my shoulder, if that makes sense.
My right hand drops off the steering wheel just past the shift ****.
Maybe I just need to adjust the seat a bit.
Stuff I get to play around with tomorrow, I guess!

Thanks!!

I should have some pics up by the end of the week.
My friend Al went for a road trip with me, and he took some pics on the way home.
The car may be a bit dirty in them.
I just washed it tonight, so I'll try to take some more over the next day or two.

How's the Mod Red? Never really thought 'bout it myself but I think it's growing on me.

By the way, where did you buy your Z from? Fellow forum member? Just got the Z bug about a week ago and lots of good bro's here so far

Those drive em home road trips are a definite blast! I bought mine in NC a year ago and drove it home to CA...3400 miles of pure fun! Makes me want to hit the road right now.

Congrats and welcome to the Corvette fraternity!

You will find this car is just awesome! Bought mine in January of this year and drove it home 700 miles, also QS w. mod red. Something about having that power in a Z06 that puts a big on your face.

Let the MODS begin.

Thanks for all the kind words, guys.

Sorry no pics yet, but I've been so busy I just haven't had a chance to get them up here.
Looks just like any qs mr z06 with body side moldings(which I have grown to appreciate, btw, even though no one has hit the car yet! lol)

We did have a nice drive back from Illinois, but it was pretty mundane, no beating on it.

Now, however, it's a different story!
I usually drive in competitive mode, and this car sure does bark at WOT!!
YEEE HAAA!

I am really enjoying this car, by far the best car I've ever owned.
I've already put on about 3000 miles since the purchase, but it's still under 12,000, haha!!
I'd drive it every day, if I could!
