Around December 2002, GM changed the fuel system on the Corvette. You'll know if yours has the new fuel system if the RPO label contains the "FFS" RPOP Code. This link provides a description of the FFS fuel system http://www.gmtechlink.com/images/iss.../TLMar04e.html
Evidently, this system is good up to about 450 RWHP (from what I've read). Above this, everyone seems to recommend putting in a pre-2003 fuel system.
What is the fuel system difference between 02 03 and 04?
I see some high HP cars need the fuel system replaced in 03 & 04.
Thanks
Jim
MPG may not matter to you, but the changes made during the 2003 production year increased the top highway mileage claims from 28 to 33 mpg. At $3 per gallon that's a savings of about $.50 a gallon for those of us who use the Z as a DD. The increased efficiency has also improved 0 - 60 times a tenth of a second or two, according to owner reports.
