My house is (was?) 2 blocks from the beach on MS Gulf Coast. My family evacuated, but my town was smashed. Made the decision to drive two cars instead of one. Managed to find an enclosed garage at a relative's house which saved the vette from the bad weather in Meridian. Tough not knowing if there's anything left; can't get to my house to survey.
Sorr to hear about teh loss. A friend of mine is stationed out here in Pearl with me and he is from there and told me that his family got hit pretty hard as well as his home.

Most of all - glad you and your family are safe. As the others have said, most everything else can be replaced. I'm sure there are heirlooms and irreplaceable things like photos and papers......

Sorry to hear that. Its a natural dessaster, can't blame anyone, but only keep your faith in God and we pray that everything you (and others) lost comes back to you multiplied. Most importantly, it good to know you and your family are safe. (Also good job on saving the Vette)
