Tragedy With a Silver Lining...
My 1994 Black Rose coupe was stolen on August 4th, 2005 and recovered 3 weeks later in Houston, TX. It was found burned to the ground on an empty lot in a new housing development. Thankfully, I had full coverage insurance so I used the settlement for my big down payment on a low mileage 2001 QS/black Z06 purchase last Saturday. 
All I can say is what a beast! There's just no comparison to my C4! I still miss my 94 Vette, but my new Z is well on its way to filling the void. It's good to be among fellow Z enthusiasts on the Corvette Forum!

I, too, had the misfortune of having my 2001 Coupe stolen a couple of years ago. I also "upgraded" to a Z06. Things worked out well for both of us.Happy motoring

I am glad to hear that you came out of an otherwise rotten situation with such a blessing! I can tell you from experience...you will love your Z06!

Congrats on the Z!! Quite a step up in pedigree. I still miss my '96 CE vert on nice days though. It's tough to be in a bad mood driving a vert. May your C4 R.I.P.
