Wheel Size Question

Cons, the bigger the wheel, the higher the cost for the tires/wheels, increased weight, rougher ride & more likely to suffer damage due to lower profile tires(less protection).
Pros, they look better(?), they might offer better clearance for brakes, they might give you better selection of available tires.
I'm not going to bother going into rotational weight, unsprung weight, etc. This is just the basics.
I can't say that the the cars ride any different a little more grip in the turns but not a big Difference at least in my book.
If you drive your car everyday the low profiles may be a little easier to bang up in a pothole or something

I have 19'' CCW 505's all the way around. It's the only size they offered for this wheel a year ago. I recommend to anyone this company and any other their wheels. Cost for what you get , quality and service is excellent.
With all that in mind, and what others have said: here is my suggestion..
If I could do it again, I would go with 18's on the front, and 19's on the rear. This selection offers you several options. The most important being, that at any point, you could buy the 2nd generation Goodyear run flat in the C6 Z06 sizes, with the performance compound... these 2nd generation tires are only offered in 18" fronts, and 19" rears. They are softer, more quiet, and offer better handling, with the runflat secuity built in. These tires are so good that GM puts them on their New flag ship C6 Z06.
Also by going with an 18" on the front , you can get a taller sidewall, and eliminate most of the concern about very low profile and pot hole destruction.. The 18" and 19" combo is standard on the C6's. This offers you many options in non run flat tires without giving up the option to at some point go with run flats.
CCW 505's are now offered in 18'' fronts and 19'' rears.
I hope this helps with your decision

Man you really should lower yours on the stock bolts. It would look awesome. Took me 30 minutes to do it and if you don't like it you cans always go back to normal.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Some great advice has been posted for you on this helpful thread. And, I agree with the added extra insight that fellow member "Evil Twin" has provided.
BTW, not to hi-jack this thread, but; "Evil Twin": I sure do enjoy seeing the pics of your beautiful C5. The paint finish and overall immaculate appearance of your car along with the fantastic CCW wheels, and, the 2pc Baer Eradispeed brake rotor combo, is absolutely stunning in my book.
Cheers Everyone,
Eden

Here is one inside story for you.... BTW the two driving forces in Corvette design are keep it in budget and reduce weight.
I designed seven latches in all C'5s, in the trunk there are four latches for the stowage compartments.... IN the original prototype design the project was to make all black latches the latches were designed to snap into a substraight plastic composite panel, the actual launch latch is the same as the prototype latch but the latch is glued in the much lighter and cost effective wooden substraight.... No matter what the interior color. WE did a cost to deliver study on color coordinated latches to match the interior color. the cost to manufacture was an additional 1.5 cents a latch. The project mangaer turned it down to stay within budget. BTW I have torch red latches in my trunk, and the only C5 on the planet with factory molded Torch red latches.
