Default UPDATE: Seat Cooler...

About a week ago I posted a thread about the "Summer Seat" seat cooler. That thread and the product can be viewed here:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...1&forum_id=103

Anyway, my complaint was that after long trips in the car my back tends to get sweaty and I generally feel nasty. This is a real problem for those of us who drive our C5s (or other vehicles) around for work. I was tired of looking like a sweaty wrinkled bum.

Anyway, I can definitely recommend this product. The difference is amazing. It doesn't fit the seats perfectly, but it keeps me cool. I can clearly feel the cold air circulating behind my back when I use this thing. No more sweat or discomfort.

I am concerned that I may need to put something between it and the leather to prevent unusual wear and tear...but I am not sure. Either way, I promised an update...here it is. The product works. It doesn't fit perfectly, but I will not be without it on future trips or around town in the summer.

Cool! Does this mean you won't be tinting the windows?

I'll still probably tint the windows...I'd like it to stay as cool as possible. That is just my preference.

As for pics...believe it or not, I do not have a digital camera. I know that's lame, but I never got around to buying one. I'll post pics, but I needto get them developed. Might be a couple days.

Sticky Heat...This is preciscly the reason I got short pile sheepskins for my C5..No sweat or heat sensation in the summer, and in the winter, no cold freeze either. i know they are not to popular, but I wouldn't be without them in a daily driver with leather or vinyl seats.

Looks great! I was looking into a trim shop to put on my VE skins and there is one near me that will also install seat heaters/seat coolers for around 500 extra bucks. It's integrated under the leather apparantly...
