The first smart thing I did was to get my 59 year old backside back into a vette. (01-6sp) The second smart thing I did was join this forum. I just spent, or left my Vette at a very reputable Chevy dealer here in Mesa Az for 10 hours. They were to fix a stripped gear in my left headlight motor, and to repair the "Service Tire Monitor System". It showed low left front and low left rear. They fixed the headlight before noon, but could not reprogram the Tire sensors. I did a search when I got home and found instructions from "Brazen C5" & forwarded by "RocknRoll". As electronically backward as I am I had it reprogramed in 5 minutes. What's up with that? Anyway, thanks everyone. From here I am going to donate some $$ to the Red Cross/Katrina and upgrade my Forum membership ($).
Welcome to the Club! Glad to see another AZ. guy onboard. Hope to see you sometime...Sat. is Vette night at the Scottsdale Pavillions. Check it out if you haven't already.

I forgot about the Pavillions. I will have to grab my prarie flower and check it out, thanks
You will save countless time and money here at this wonderful forum!
Btw, how did you find out about it?( just curious,,,,,,hmmmmmmm..I think that question may deserve it's own thread )
Anyway,congrats and welcome
( omg, i just reread my own post,I meant to say you will save time on mods and troubleshooting.....You will ABSOLUTELY lose time on here )
I was checking into Corvette exhaust info and found it during that search. (ended up getting Corsa Indy with the Tigershark Tips by the way.) As far as losing time here, it helps. I have quit smoking and have found extra time on my hands, and settiing at the PC gives my better half the impression that I am doing something important. Man this C5 trips my trigger, and the mod mood has taken over. It is having an effect on my financial empire though. I have begun to smash and save aluminum cans. Just a kick in the ars to drive. Going back to Iowa in October, can't wait. I have been taking the wife on weekend trips lately, she is looking forward to the time we will actually stop somewhere while on these mini trips. I have been considering getting my teeth whitened, they seem to be showing a lot more lately. Have a good one! (Sorry for rambling - killing time until it the time is acceptable to go to the store, or somewhere, anywhere)

Denny - Welcome to the Forum! As another Arizona guy, I can tell you that there is a fairly active Corvette community here in the Valley of the Sun!
As flyzlow stated - if you haven't checked out the Pavillions at the 101 and Indian Bend in Scottsdale on a Saturday evening, you're in for a treat (weather permitting of course!)
Here's a group and their web page that is kind of an unofficial club - no dues, no officers, no regular meetings, just a bunch of folks who like to go on the occasional cruise with their Vettes and hang out. http://www.arizonavette.net/
I'll be at the Pavillions tonight - maybe I'll see you there!

Congrats and Welcome aboard.
Don't be surprised at what the dealer DOESN'T know. Check here first and it might save you a boat load of money. A lot of highly knowledgable and friendly people here.

Next week for sure, what is a good time to show up? Also thanks for the heads up on the "azvette" site, I will stay in tune. We just got back from Globe - Show Low - Springerville - Safford - Globe, awesome run. Wife's right leg is tired from hitting the pasenger brake, so she needs a rest (haha). She's younger than me but seems to panic easy. Thanks for the call, I will look for evryone next week.

Boy you got that right. It is amazing what they don't know. Granted there are some goodones, and there are a lot of different models, but it is a vette, and some should spend a little more time on such a treasured, immediately recognizalble, icon. Thanks for the "hello". Denny
Hi Denny, I live in Mesa and have not found a good Chevy dealer in this part of the world. Unless you are getting warranty work done just call up Xtreme in Tempe. Maybe a little more expensive on some things but you can trust them to take care of your Vette. Congrats on the new car
