I have not been impressed with Maisto for the Corvette. They used the wrong interior model year for the later year C4 and that let a bad taste with me for them. I have not followed their C5 editions, but I doubt they could screw it up since all C5's look the same on the interior.
AutoArt makes the nicest 1/18 C5's. Kyosho is up there in quality, but they dont make C5's. The Franklin Mint makes really nice C5's in 1/24 scale, including a 50th Ann. Z06 and a C/E.
I got my MY Z the other day at BJ's for $10 and just ordered one at the Franklin Mint for half price at $52-great deal, check out there website if looking for a MY diecast.
Uh-Oh this is how it starts..........soon they will begin mutiplying........you will need one of ech generation......then specific colors or editions.......then you will need the C5R's......it never ends, stop now before you become addicted........and if that doesn't help we have a Die cast section on the forum where you will be lead to many good diecast sites.......But then the worst will happen..... you will resort to ebay
Great fun collecting the diecasts, I have very little impulse control. I'm sure you can stay with just one
