Default [Advice] Frustrating! Can I do something?

Alright this is the 3rd or 4th time the delivery of my car has been delayed. It was suppose to be here originally about a week ago and now it has been pushed off 3 times. Took over 10 days to be picked up, and the excuses I have heard have been, the truck broke down (before getting my car), driver had a death in the family (which I am a little uncomfortable to question) then got caught up in Labor Day traffic (duh, if it was on schedule he would have missed it). Its been about a month since my car was ready for shipment. I have already put a $200 deposit down. Was thinking of blocking my credit card payment for the remaining balance and talking with the broker tomorrow. What do you think?

Need more details. What year, new or used, etc. If this is a used car, some of the auto transport companies are horrible. A friend of mine bought an 02 Viper that was pristine. When it arrived 3 weeks later it had a huge gouge in the driver side rocker panel. The driver said a bag of tools rolled into it.

The car came accross country and the driver had plenty of bs stories about being lost, late, etc. You are really at their mercy except for the cc. I'd give them a date and time that it needs to be at your place, after that I would dispute the cc charges.

Thats what I was thinking. Its used, in pristine condiditon (97 with under 3k miles), bought from a CF member coming from St. George, UT to Avalon, NJ. Driver said the car is fine he's just delayed. I will be inspecting with a magnifying glass after some stories I have heard.

We used A1 and they SUCKED ANytime a car gets delayed in my experiance is A) it is getting fixed from accident at a body shop LOOK VERY VERY CLOSE and DO NOT LET THEM even UNLOAD and have VIDEO camera .. . If I posted what they did you simply would not believe me, They Dumped car off without paper work while I stood there having a cow... all smashed up, The driver was quick and did not expect me to come out so fast, so late... LOOK OUT.. or just cancel

Well if you read my other post you'll see that she arrived the next morning in tip-top shape. I gave it a thorough examination before signing off and then decided to wash and wax it which allowed me to take a 2nd more thorough look. She's showroom perfect. Thanks to all who provided advice.

Chuckoc, I am sorry to hear and I hope you were able to resolve everything with the shipper...

Glad your car arrived in good shape. I would have been worried also with all the delays.
