Well I got my '97 lightly modded and I'm very pleased with the performance. I want to thank Marc (mvvette97) and other members for all their positive input. The ones who had negative input was not on mark. For now I may have sacrificed gas mileage for performance, but the gas mileage will improve.
My mods are:
1. Blackhawk attached with the MAF Sensor relocated in the filter housing from the original position, attached to a Granatelli Mass Airflow Sensor (tuned for CAI) to a BBK Cold Air Induction.
2. Exhaust system is High Flow Cats, X-pipe to ZO6 Ti mufflers.
Had some engine ping for the first 30 or 40 miles after installing the MAF.
The puta relearned the hi-flow of air coming in and readjusted the timing and rich/lean settings so the ping went away.
