My wife & I have been looking for several months for a 2000 or 2001 Dark Bowling Green with Lt. Oak convertible. I can tell you this color combination is somewhat rare on the west coast, the closest one we found and considered was in Nebraska. Then two weeks ago a friend found one online less than 200 miles from our home. After many phone calls and e-mails we drove up and looked at the 2000 and fell in love. The next Saturday we drove up again and came home with a bone-stock, less than 15K mile, 6-speed. I had to give up our much-loved green `96 convertible, but the C5 experience won me over very quickly! This car is an absolute dream to drive. And it has a trunk!! No more stretching and twisting to get stuff out of the back without lifting the deck on the C4.
I'm sure I will have many questions for the members here (I have already had some questions answered while I was "lurking").
I have already ordered a Corsa Pace Car Tiger Shark system, chrome wheels, a new car cover, and a CLB. Bone-stock is okay, but I want to hear my Corvette!
I will have photos as soon as I have time to take it to a scenic area worthy of it's beauty.........and when the kitchen remodel we are doing is done! Or when I figure out the complexities of posting photos.
Welcome to the forum, but I'm going to have to dissallow your excuses. It's not that far either way out of Eugene to some pretty country and http://tinypic.com will get you posted in no time. You're on your own with the kitchen remodel.
Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the dark side. You'll love the C5 and you got a great color combo You'll probably find all you need to know here. A great bunch of folks frequent this forum. Nice job on posting the picture.
Conrats on the move to the C5. The only thing better in my opinion is being able to keep a leg ( wheel) in both the C4 and C5 section ...
Enjoy, and welcome. You will find it friendly and helpful in here.
