During a safety inspection at a car show\autocross this weekend, I was told that one of the spokes on my HRE 547s was cracked. Sure enough, one of the "double" spokes on the left rear wheel was cracked all the way through. I haven't hit any holes too hard recently, but the roads in PA are not the best. Still, I don't think that expensive wheels like these should break under normal use. Anybody have any luck with HRE fixing or replacing damaged wheels? I don't know what their warranty is like, since i am not the original owner of the car and the HREs were on when I got it.
This is a known problem w/ HRE's. Their reputation has gone down the hole. I hope you get this resolved.
Common ("known") problem?
