Default What would C5Gen do???

ok guys, been on the fence for awhile on this and the last couple days got me thinking again... do I replace my c5 vert with a c6vert or do I keep my C5 and finally touch the engine. IM looking for a few more hp to play with and havent done anything to my engine yet. The power is one thing but also need to consider the looks.. heres my car today next to what I would replace it with...cost wise I think either way I would be spending about the same amount of money.. I would probably end up with more HP if I keep my car but would have a new model with the C6... thoughts..

Is that a trick question?

You ask C5 Gen and expect which answer?

Sorry to the new generation, but your very tastefully modded C5 makes that C6 look like azz.in comparison.

Hey Stephen, I know I know....but Ive been a C5 Junkie for four years.. and there are a lot of guys in C5Gen probably considering the same. I will probably post in C6Gen as well to get their perspective. But looking for the opinions of the guys Ive been hanging with for the last few years. This isnt about us vs.them, just about staying a corvette guy. Who knows I might just hang out more in OT with you now

EDIT** thank for the comments guys, I have to tell you it took me years to get the car to look the way it does...personally I think my car looks way better as well...but thats the C6 stock

Keep your car as it is and buy the C6 and mod it! You know the saying is the only thing better than a vetter is 2 vettes! I must admit your car does look better, to me, than the C6. Good luck on your difficult decision.

If you enjoy playing around with your car, mod the C5. If you like factory stock performance, go with the C6

Dollar for dollar? C6, no question. The C5 may be a better looking car, but in a C6 you'd get a brand new car with a warranty and a new car's resale value. Better drivability with a stock LS2 over a modded LS1, too.

Mod the C5! There will always be a newer model Vette. Mod the C5, drive it for a few years more and then consider a C6 or maybe a C7!

Exactly, although the C5's do look better.

I hear you. I just do not like the exterior styling of the C6 at all. Even a year after it's release - and with the upcoming release of the C6 Z06 with 505bhp... I still think the C6 styling is major

Sorry...

Whatever you spend on the C5 you will never get back out of it...believe I know. Overall, the C6 is a way nicer car to drive and has a lot of snap to it. If you like the looks of it, go that route for sure.
