My '98 was built in September or "97. If I could have one option, AH would be it.

Active Handling became standard in 2001 with a new version.

I had a 99 A4 vert with the first generation A/H .. I found it to be a little too intrusive. I almost got hit a few times becuase it pulled out throttle when I was pulling a hard left turn.

The second generation system in my 01 MN6 coupe si much better .. only steps in when it REALLY needs to.

Either way I would not want to be without it.

you will be fine outwith out it, its just another comfort zone thing, and unless you are careless in the rain you will be fine

I own an 02 vert without AH. I have never owned a car with it, so I don't miss it. Did that answer your question?

Opps...maybe I do have AH. I think it's ride control i don't have. Sorry.

A/H became standard in 2001.

I just put a deposit on a 98..
How can you tell if it has AH..I know mine has a pic with a car going sideways or fishtailing..Is this only "Traction control"?
