The split window was removed in 64 because of the blilnd spot which you would get with your concept. Secondly it would cost a fortune to make and there would be very few people that would buy it. Once the cost of the conversion is out all people will do is complain about the cost and the corvette tax.

I do not see how it would be that bad. The existing deck lid and glass can be used. The glass cut to the corresponding dimentions and fiberglass added to the deck lid to form the middle pilliar support section.

I agree - I don't think it would be that unreasonable to make and price. I mean, guys pay thousands of dollars for hoods, superchargers, and everything else; if there's ever been a market that likes flash, nostalgia, and has deep pockets, this is it.

If the glass is tempered I think you cannot cut the glass since it will break.
As I mentioned in my first post the company that created the Avelate Corvette went bankrupt mainly IMHO the car looked ugly.
Third the inital cost would be so high because of prototypes you would never recoupe your costs if you decide to go into production. The reason things cost so much for vettes is that when item are made there are made in such low number so you have the high costs. When items are made for other cars which have a higher production run, you have a higher consumer base which inturn reduces the cost of an item.
Well, just to see if there's any interest I emailed the pic to Caravaggio. I realize it's a huge leap to go from a picture to a product, but who knows... crazier products have been made.
I sure think it would be cool if someone took it from here. Any fabricators interested??? PM me.
I think the latest iteration looks SWEET!! And I have a '63 SWC... I'd LOVE to have it on a C5 - though I'd want it in black to match my triple black '63.

You're just trying to make us all jealous, right? 3x black '63? Wow.
