i am going to store my 2000 vert. this winter and the owner of the building wants me to disconnect the battery, what will this do to electrical? what will i need to do next spring when i reconnect?

IMHO, I think you should at least start the car every couple of weeks.
You can disconnect the battery from the car without problems, but hook up a battery tender in the meantime. Then reconnect, just to get when you start it.
There shouldn't be any problems. Just have to reset your radio and possibly have to unlock it.

Personally - I would disconnect the battery and get a Battery Tender, like Dave said. In the spring when it's time to bring the beast back to life, you might have to set your radio presets, memory and possibly retrain the key fobs. No big deal on any of them. BTW - if you've set the THEFT-LOK on the radio, make sure you unlock the radio BEFORE you disconnect the radio!
