1. I noticed on AutoMeters site that they recommend painting (their replacement pillar)to match your interior. Is the standard black they ship a match for the dash and black trim pieces already inside the ZO?
2. I have no mods, but I do like the look of the pillar mounted gauges. What two gauges would you guys go with? I'm thinking transmission temp. for one of them.
Thanks.

I have the AutoMeter Duel Gauge Pillar Pod and it seems to match the interior perfect.
It was installed back when I had the ProCharger on my car and decided to leave it on after selling the S/C and going with a H/C package.
I'm using the Colbalt Series Fuel Press. gauge and an Air/Fuel Ratio gauge now.
It also made a great location to install my shift light!
That looks great and answered my question about matching the interior.
Now, I just need to decide on two gauges to go with. Any suggestions? I'm considering the trans temp and the air/fuel gauges. I do want simple installation as well.
check out the Spa Technique gauges. hey are digital and you can have 2 gauges in 1 2 1/6" gauge. so in sense you could have 4 gauges on a dual pod. now my setup consists of 1 AEM Uego and a Spa Technique boost and fuel pressure.
I bought the a-pillar from pfyc.com and installed it in my 2002 Z06. It matched perfect after wipping it down with armoral. It looked a little dull before that. I also bought the Auto Meter Cobalt DPIC gauge. It allows you to test your 0-60 time, 60-0 time, horsepower, g-forces.... Installation was very simple. I have not picked my second gauge yet. I am considering getting Nitrous so I might get a Nitrous Pressure cobalt gauge from auto meter. However, if I do not get Nitrous I will most likely get a Auto Meter Cobalt air/fuel ration gauge. It seems easy enought to install.
By the way ELECTRONBLUE02Z06, Just curious, what did you pay for your DPIC gauge. I was quoted 209.99 by National Performance. I've been looking at that gauge and the matching air/fuel gauge. Thanks.
