I would assume the driver did not make it through that crash. Looks like the drivers arm in the door area, body still in the car probably.

I never saw this before. Very ugly. Is that mess on the rear door of the truck what it seems to be? I assume a fatal? Anyone know the facts?

Yes and Yes. Truck was stopped on the shoulder car ran into the back. The news wire story has been posted here several times. The pictures even more.
