Default [TECH]*u*c*i* Tranny -- M6[/TECH] HELP!!

Already had a new/rebuilt Tremec M6 going in on 9/15. Some of you have read my warranty thread from February.

4th has been an issue lately. Synchro only, though, not from a stop.

Tonight I decided to go to the store. 1st gear seemed sticky in the parking lot. By the time I made the street, 1,3,5,R were out. I sat at a light like a moron trying, at a red light, to make any of them work. I'm certain I bent the stem on my new Hurst.

Only 2,4,6 are available. I'm glad I'm going in 9/15 for the re-build tranny install and the diff-leak problem.

My question is Why TF can't I use 1,3,5,R? It's not an "in-motion" thang. It's a mechanical "I ain't strong enough to put it in gear at a red-light" thang. I did make R work, but had to use all my muscle, make it grind, let off, then push hard into R, just to get out of the 7-11 station.

I hope they fix the linkage at Ammco on Thursday. I limped back from the 7/11, with only 2,4,6 gear.

Ever hear of this?

The shifter stop on the front side of the shifter base is loose and has vibrated and advanced towards the shaft, not allowing it to move in the foward position towards 1,3,5 and R. Pull off the concole and IP trim again along with the isolator and remove the front and rear shifter stop setscrews and locknuts. They are not required unless you'll be doing extremely aggressive track shifting with the Hurst. The stock tranny has it's own built in stops.
