I did and was very pleased with Dan's product. It was very well laid out, instructions were easy enough, and it is performing exactly as I expected. My cockpit no longer feels like a sauna.

I only installed the rear compartment section in our '04 coupe. Directions are very good and all the pieces fit well, quite easy to do. I put a layer of dynamat extreme underneath the kit, and did the rear wheel wells with the dynamat, plus fiberglass insulation tucked up into the nooks and crannies. In all honesty I don't detect much, if any, tire /road noise reduction as a result. Perhaps doing the passenger compartment too will improve things, but I suspect that eventually getting rid of the noisey Goodyears will solve most of the annoying road rumble. We take frequent trips in our Corvette, and the noise can get a little wearing after a few hours; some road surfaces are much worse than others. Otherwise, what the heck, its a fun car, and skimpy sound/heat insulation is a small price to pay for the amazing performance and excellent long distance road manners.

Same here I did the complete pre-cut kit on my 99 hardtop. Everything was well layed out but the install is time consuming if you go all out like I did and use both the aluminum tape at every single joint and crease, and use spray adehesive. Took me two days to do (taking my time that is).
As far as road noise it did decrease a little from doing just the insulation. I found the best way to decrease interior noise level significantly is by doing the insulation kit matched with non runflat tires and a trunk partition (if you have vert or hardtop). You would be amazed at how much just the trunk divider reduces road noise.

Great recommendations regarding the fiberglass insulation, dynamat, and, getting rid of the noisy runcraps, to reduce cabin noise. In fact, switching to a tire tread design that is less conducive to road noise does help.

I used the kit in the rear. It worked well, just a slight amount of trimming, but overall, very good. I will do the interior next. It took about 4 hours to do the rear by myself using spray on adheasive. Noise reduction was noticeable, but slight.

I just did the rear of my coupe on Monday. Easy with good directions except they called for a 8mm for a 10 mm bolt for the triangles. Noticed a reduction but not as much as when I changed to a non-runflat.

I purchased a insulation kit but havn't installed it yet. What is dynamat, where can i buy it and how is it installed? Is it glued down?

The product works great and I really like that it is double sided especially for the center console. It cut down the heat tremendously.
Unfortunately you still need to do the wheel wells if you want to really cut down the noise. I used frost king and thermal insulation as shown in some of the previous posts. Also used some extra fostking in the rear of my vert since I had some left over. End results makes a much quieter ride.

But having a problem hearing the exhaust tone. Now I have to open the QTP's for true American Muscle sound.
